Interstellar travel options for the distant future.
Note before we build interstellar travel infrastructure we have to be familiar with interplanetary transport & interlunar transport in our own solar system.
In other words we have to be familiar with traveling & working in our own solar system before we build interstellar travel infrastructure.
Note interstellar travel may occur sooner than in the distant future, but this will require all of humanity & computer controlled robotic machines working on building interstellar travel infrastructure.

Our Star, the Sun, was born in the heavens about 4.5 billion years ago. Our Sun is about 1/3 of the way through its expected life. Scientists are now predicting the following events during the remaining life of our Star. In the next 600 million years due to increased solar radiation all land plants will die & animals & humans rely on land plants for nutrition, thus most land animals & land based humans will die. In the next 1.1 billion years, the Suns brightness will increase by 10%. This will super-heat our Planet as a result of a severe greenhouse effect. All of the oceans on Earth will boil away and all life will be destroyed. The Sun will eventually expand into a Red Giant & swallow up & incinerate this Planet into oblivion in approximately 8 billion years. It has been said that we can live on Mars for a very long time & note Mars will become warmer & Mars is closer to the Asteroids & many Moons in our solar system. It may be possible to move Earth to a orbit far away from the Red Giant Sun but this would be very dangerous. Also many of the 2000 Planets & Moons that have been discovered can also serve as human habitats in the future. If we can achieve Star lifting to extend & manage the function of our Sun then this will be a great achievement. We have to build a orbital ring & use non-rocket space launch, as well as using reusable hydrogen rockets to transport everything on Planet Earth into space. We need to commence Lunar mining & Asteroid mining to construct rotating space habitats & spacecraft that have the potential to travel throughout the solar system & beyond the solar system & if we can build a Dyson sphere or Dyson swarm & Shkadov thruster or stellar engine this will be a great achievement.
The reason we have to colonize Mars & colonize the Moons in the outer solar system is because the inner planets are scheduled to be mined & processed by robotic machines or otherwise they will be destroyed by the Red Giant Sun that will swallow & incinerate the inner planets into oblivion. The inner planets Mercury, Venus & maybe Earth will be mined & processed using special high temperature resistant steels or alloys incorporating Ultra-high-temperature ceramics.

Orbital rings would also have to be built around Mercury, Venus, Earth & maybe Mars. The orbital rings will make it easier to send material & lifeforms into space. However we still will be using reusable hydrogen rockets like the Aquarius rocket or the spacex reusable rockets to send material & lifeforms into space. The listed above works has to occur so as to construct infrastructure in our solar system that will prepare the construction of a dyson swarm, so as to eventually facilitate a beam powered interstellar highway from the reflective coatings of the dyson swarm. The Moon can have a orbital ring & Mars can have a orbital ring. The outer solar system planets like Jupiter or Saturn can have orbital rings. The outer solar system Moons like the Moons that orbit Jupiter & the Moons that orbit Saturn can all have orbital rings. The inner planets like Mercury & Venus can have orbital rings. The Asteroids will be easier to mine & transport with the use of orbital rings. These solar system orbital rings can build a dyson swarm & thus make the beam powered interstellar highways possible. However, the first orbital ring we will build will probably be built around the equator in LEO, Low Earth Orbit. The orbital ring will have attached tethers going up to geostationary orbit & there will be two space elevators going up to the orbital ring or maybe later more space elevators will be built.
We could also have gas powered interstellar highways by mining the solar systems gas planets & mining the solar systems gaseous Moons.

Note Moon spaceships need a reflective coating to absorb & reflect the radiation pressure from the dyson swarm & hematite or mirrors seem the best material for this reflective coating. When light has to be reflected underground on the moon spaceship then the dyson swarm can concentrate light to reflective objects on the moon spaceship, like mirrors, reflective light tubes, heliostats & fresnel lens that will be used to funnel light underground throughout the planet spaceship or moon spaceship many torus onion like floors. We doubt that planet earth can be turned into a planet spaceship like the Earths Moon spaceship. This is because of the Earths very hot & unworkable interior. A dyson swarm is like a gigantic convex lens that orbits the Sun, concentrating light into a singular focal point that is the interstellar highway. Also the space habitats on the front of the interstellar highway can turn their mirrors to beam back light to the space habitats behind them to slow these space habitats at the rear end down.

Does dark energy & dark matter hold the key to a warp drive, light speed travel or anti-gravity!
Absolute zero, zero point energy, lasers simulating a magnetic field in a BEC, Bose–Einstein condensate, quantum vacuum & Grand Unified Theory GUT drives all point to light speed travel or close to light speed travel. Einsteins equations prove that space time is curved, Stephen Hawking says that every galaxy has a black hole & this black hole is the vortex at the center of the Galaxy & this black hole is responsible for the rotation of matter in the Galaxy. It's very possible that there is a very large black hole at the center of the universe. The origin of the universe which is usually accepted is known as the big bang theory! However this theory best describes the formation & behavior of solar systems & Galaxy's. When the big bang theory is used to describe the history & shape of the universe it is flawed.

To get a better understanding of Hawking's work you should read a brief history of time & you should also have a understanding of the theory of general relativity & special relativity. Quantum particles disappear & reappear in new areas of space without moving in a particular direction & perhaps this is how warp drives or wormholes will work, this is more like teleportation. Krauss writes that in order to "dematerialize" something in order to achieve matter teleportation, the binding energy of the atoms and probably that of all its nuclei would have to be overcome. He notes that the binding energy of electrons around nuclei is minuscule relative to binding energy that hold nuclei together. He notes that "if we were to heat up the nuclei to about 1000 billion degrees (about a million times hotter than the temperature at the core of the Sun), then not only would the quarks inside lose their binding energies but at around this temperature matter will suddenly lose almost all of its mass. Matter will turn into radiation or, in the language of our transporter, matter will dematerialize. In energy units, this implies providing about 10 percent of the rest mass of protons and neutrons in the form of heat. To heat up a sample the size of a human being to this level would require therefore, about 10 percent of the energy needed to annihilate the material or the energy equivalent of a hundred 1 megaton hydrogen bombs. More like dark matter or dark energy moving matter & maybe even creating matter. Therefore is it possible to build an (Anti-Gravity Device) or a warp drive. To understand how dark matter or dark energy works we use the coffee cup analogy, if you stir a cup of black coffee, then add a coffee bean to it, the coffee bean will then spin around, dark matter or dark energy has the same properties for it has the potential to spin & move things around. It is also believed that the power of dark matter or dark energy could also be harnessed to produce matter & not only just used for transportation at possible light speed travel. There is a great need to teach warp drive mechanics to many more people, mathematics & physics are important subjects, but we have to look into theoretical physics & theoretical mathematics to better understand the concepts of warp drives, wormholes, dark matter, dark energy & black hole mechanics & white hole mechanics. So how do we build a warp drive ? In order to build a warp drive we have to bend space time, this involves black hole & white hole mechanics, the use of exotic matter, perhaps the Casimir effect & maybe not a emdrive for we might need a better understanding of string theory, for its possible that gravitons accumulate in strings, cosmic strings. More work with The higgs boson may also be helpful. They say we have to create negative energy, negative mass or zero point energy to warp space. We might even have to create an artificial black hole to warp space. Optical tweezers can warp space so we may need a laser.
